The Dalmore 16 Year Old Luminary No. 2 2024 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Dalmore’s legacy reimagined in luminous form
The Dalmore, established in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, has upheld a legacy of exceptional whisky-making for nearly two centuries. Clan Mackenzie’s stewardship, beginning in 1867, introduced the iconic 12-point Royal Stag emblem. This symbol, gifted by King Alexander III in 1263, mirrors The Dalmore’s timeless dedication to regal quality and refined craftsmanship. Today, its single malts are celebrated as icons of luxury.
The Dalmore 16 Year Old Luminary No. 2 2024 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky represents a union of whisky mastery and modern design. Gregg Glass partnered with architect Melodie Leung to create this unique expression. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, it gains complexity from finishing in Graham’s Tawny Port pipes and 30-year-old Apostoles sherry casks, with a touch of rare peated Dalmore. Aromas of Manuka honey and tropical fruits lead to forest fruits, roasted coffee, and black lime on the palate. The finish brings dark cacao, roasted chestnuts, and subtle herbal wood smoke. Presented in an intricately designed case inspired by The Luminary Rare sculpture, this whisky is a true celebration of artistry and luxury.
