Rémy Martin XO Cognac Vincent Leroy Limited Edition
Rémy Martin at it’s XO best ensconced in high-end design.
Charente is a historic town in the Aquitaine region of France — smack dab in the middle of the Grand Champagne Cru of Cognac. As Catherine I. rose from servant to Czarina of Russia and Pope Benedict XIII was enthroned in the Vatican, the House of Rémy Martin was founded on the banks of the Charente River in 1724. They began as a trading house run by Paul-Emile Rémy Martin. Today it’s one of the world’s largest and best-known Cognac houses with a dozen core offerings and many special releases and limited editions.
Vincent Leroy is a modern French artist famous for combining design, poetry, and technology into kinetic sculptures placed in galleries and public spaces all over the world. Working with Cellar master Baptiste Loiseau, they have commissioned artistic sculptures to match limited edition Cognacs based upon the ripples of dripping Eau d’ Vie. Remy Martin Cognac XO Excellence Vincent Leroy Coffret is created from 85% Grande Champagne and 15% Petite Champagne grapes and aged a minimum of six years in new Limousin oak.
Smartass Corner:
The Grand Champaign Cru is a region with large expanses of chalky soil that crumbles in the hand. These are highly prized for Cognac grapes because the fruit grown here ages exceptionally well and develops stronger, more complex aromatics.
