A ‘light’ Whiskey that is going to light you up!

Bringing a brand new Bourbon into the world is almost like bringing a child. Both are super challenging but oh-so-rewarding in the end. At Penelope, these two events coincided as Mike Paladini and his wife Kerry found out they were expecting a baby girl in 2018. To celebrate this joie de vivre, Mike created a drink that captured the celebration of life’s small pleasures. He and his neighbor Danny Polise set out to make a Straight Bourbon Whiskey everyone would enjoy sipping—and they sure succeeded!

Penelope Founder’s Reserve Light Whiskey 13 Year Old is a special cookie. Marked as ‘Light,’ this tasty non-chill filtered Whiskey gives a new connotation to this common word. Bottled at an impressive 67.3% ABV and a corn-dominated mash bill made with 99% corn and 1% malted barley, there is almost nothing light about this Whiskey! In fact, it gives off solid notes of booze and crunchy corn-on-the-cob flavors. Matured in second-fill oak casks, this exceptional Whiskey oozes savory vanilla notes with a dash of cinnamon and creme brûlée. A proper dessert for any Whiskey lover or Whiskey noob!
