Nemiroff Honey Pepper Vodka

If you haven't tasted this combo yet, you're missing out.

The story of the No.1 Ukraine exporter of Vodka – and one of the largest producers of alcohol in the world – dates way back to the mid-1700s when “Nemyriv Vodka” was mentioned for the first time. In 1872, Count Stroganov established a distillery in the town of Nemyriv in the historical region of Podolia. In 1920, the Soviets nationalized the distillery but after the Union fell, Vodka production at the site was revived. The Nemiroff trademark was registered and by 2006, Nemiroff Ukrainian Vodka Company had become the No.2 Vodka brand in the world.

Now, the idea of sipping on honey and/or pepper Vodka might sound a bit peculiar to you, but it probably wouldn’t have if you were from Ukraine where this is over a century old tradition. Inspired by Slavic traditions, a recipe was designed to marry the two flavors back in 1997. You’ll first notice the stunning amber hue and the little chili peppers that might remind you of worms in Mezcal. Clocking in at a respectable 80 proof, the creamy and hot flavors of wild herbs, red chili peppers, and honey are giving more heat with each sip when savored neat. If you like a good ol’ Bloody Mary, this is the ingredient you need.
