It takes five years to produce a bottle of Moutai Baijiu: it’s distilled nine times, it spends three years in ceramic pots, and the entire production follows the Lunar calendar. When it isn’t greasing international relations, Kweichow Moutai breaks every ice before a conversation starts. The Chinese Spirit maker is so popular now, it even surpassed Johnnie Walker’s owner as the strongest booze company.
 
Now, Baijiu has a distinctive flavor profile a Westerner might not be familiar with – but that’s a fun advantage: exploring something completely novel! It’s Chinese tradition in a bottle and possibly one of the most beloved beverages. This particular expression is a rich blend of up to 200 Spirits. It won a double golden medal at the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Awards and it’s a sumptuous and silky Spirit with floral and nutty notes.
