I.W. Harper Gold Medal 4 Year Old Bourbon
Founded in 1877 when bad Bourbon was widespread, a German immigrant named Isaac Wolf Bernheim pushed for quality over quantity and created a Bourbon that helped establish Louisville, Kentucky as the centre of Bourbon production. Using his brother's name Harper as the more marketable approach, the brothers soon started winning gold in various exhibitions.
This rare expression was distilled and bottled at the Bernheim distillery in Louisville in the 1970s and represent a classic Bourbon from a bygone era.
