Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old
Rich and complex Canadian royalty.
The story of Glenora Distillery is a classic David and Goliath tale. You see, Glenora is an upstart youngster, founded in 1989 by Bruce Jardine. But as soon as the word “Glen” showed in their brand, the Scots weren’t that happy so they had quite a few disputes and legal battles upon their hands. Despite their legal battles, since then they have won a lot of awards, started selling internationally, and make a bloody good Canadian Single Malt Whisky on the Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia where Scottish heritage still thrives.
Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old is a very well-aged Canadian Whisky. That’s rare in itself. It was aged exclusively in hand-selected American oak casks. Rich and complex, this noble bottling greets you with orange, pine, and honey aromas. The flavors are rich and warm with pepper, cedar, lemon, hazelnut, and maple notes. The finish is loooooong and smooth. Savor this Bronze Medal Winner of 2021 New York International Spirits Competition neat.
