One of only six distilleries that were permitted to operate during Prohibition to produce medicinal Bourbon, it has an intriguing history. Sitting on the banks of the Salt River in the serene rural part of Kentucky, it saw ups and downs, until it was resurrected in 2002. Today, the Lawrenceburg distillery creates top-notch Bourbons, each with its special twist.

You can enjoy it best straight up, on the rocks, or in a Kentucky Mule cocktail. It’s been aged for 6-7 years and is 90 proof with 45% ABV. Four Roses offers 4 distinct varieties; bourbon, small batch bourbon, single barrel bourbon, and small batch select bourbon. Four Roses has been perfecting the art of quality and consistency for years and has used that guiding principle to develop our ten signature recipes. Each recipe brings something different to the batch – carefully blending them, allowing them to achieve an endless range of flavor profiles to please any bourbon lover. Four Roses uses two unique grain recipes that are then combined with limestone-rich water from the spring-fed Salt River in Lawrenceburg, KY and cooked to protect the delicate flavors of each grain. Four Roses is one of the only major distilleries using single-story rack warehouses to provide a gentle and consistent maturing environment during the aging process. Each barrel ages differently and is not pulled to be bottled and used until the desired taste profile is reached and deemed ready for its intended use.
