Chanel Turner is an impressive young woman. In 2009, she became the youngest woman to own her own Spirit brand after founding FOU-DRÉ Vodka. Chanel was also the first African American woman to both own and operate a Vodka brand.  It doesn’t end there: the passionate entrepreneur that she is, she founded the annual Black-Owned Spirit & Wine Festival – BOWSFest to celebrate black-owned Spirits brands. But we’re here to talk about FOU-DRÉ and we can start with the name: pronounced FOO-DRAY, which refers to the French word for lighting that’s pronounced the same way. The sleek bottle that’s crafted by the famed Saver Glass, a French glass-making company.
