A wonderful blending experiment gone absolutely right.

Barrel Craft Spirits, a resident of Louisville, KY, has their eyes trained on unique and matured, cask-strength Whiskey and Rum. They source only the finest expressions of the two Spirits and carefully blend them into new untold stories. What they do is explore various methods of distilling, search for different types of barrels and maturing environments. Every batch is unique, unmistakable and limited. The independent blender and bottler has been winning awards left and right, from Whisky Advocate to San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Their Whiskey-Rum specialization comes to life in Barrell Dovetail, a helluva blend of two Whiskeys: a 10YO Whiskey distilled in Indiana and finished in Dunn Vineyards Cabernet casks; and a 11YO Bourbon made in Tennessee with a double finish in black strap Rum barrels and LBV Port Pipes. It's obviously a flamboyant blend - and strong, too! It comes at 122.9 proof cask-strength with a rich and smooth flavor profile. It's an imaginative experiment gone absolutely right, giving us one of the most impressive and unique blend at the moment.
